Terms of service
Effective 16 October 2026
These terms apply when you use Unifiles, operated by Faiz Shaikh. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle information.
The service
Unifiles connects storage you control (computers, phones, external drives and cloud accounts) so you can browse files and copy, move, rename or delete them from one place. Your files stay in that storage; Unifiles carries out the actions you request there.
Your account
- Keep your sign-in details safe. You're responsible for activity in your account and workspace.
- Only connect devices and accounts that you own or are allowed to use, and only invite people you trust to your workspace.
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age where you live).
Your files
You keep all rights to your files. You give Unifiles only the permission it needs to carry out the actions you request (for example, to read a file in order to copy it to the place you chose).
Deleted files go to the trash or Recycle Bin of the storage they were on. Keep your own backups of anything important: actions you request (such as moving or deleting) do what they say, and the storage services you connect have their own limits and rules.
Acceptable use
Don't use Unifiles to break the law, to access storage or accounts that aren't yours, to spread malware, or to disrupt the service.
Plans and payment
Some features need a paid plan. Prices are shown on the Plan & billing page. Payments made by UPI are confirmed after we check them. If you stop paying, paid features stop at the end of the period you paid for; your files are not affected.
Third-party services
When you connect a cloud account such as Google Drive, your use of it is also governed by that provider's terms. You can disconnect it at any time.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Unifiles running and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is”, without guarantees that it will always be available or error-free. We may change or improve features, and will give notice before removing something important.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Faiz Shaikh is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending
You can stop using Unifiles and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. Disconnecting or deleting your account never deletes the files in your own storage.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
